SUFFERING FROM EVERYDAY HEADACHES? OR JUST TOO MANY HEADACHES? TRY THESE PAIN REDUCING TECHNIQUES!
I have dealt with headaches my whole entire life. I have every type of headache (cluster, sinus, migraine, etc.), and I have them just about every day. Here are a few things I do to manage the pain.
- I am a huge believer in over the counter Sudafed and Aleve. Those are my two go to headache medicines. If I feel a slight tingle of pain, I take them immediately. It’s easier to prevent pain, then to completely take it away.
- Ever since I was little, when I get headaches I reach for something salty to suck on. My number one choice has always been pretzels, but saltines are great too. I really don’t know the science behind this, but it always makes me feel better.
- Another thing I keep close by is peppermints. Peppermint oil and actual peppermints really help alleviate my pain. I put the oil in my humidifier, and it really helps.
- If it gets too bad, I draw a hot bath and make the bathroom really steamy. The steam and heat help with inflammation in my head.
- Lastly, I just force myself to fall asleep. Sleep usually cures it, 9 out of 10.
