After the success of January’s healthy living theme, I am so excited to announce February’s theme: Love yourself month!
With the constant flood of images of women with unachievable looks thanks to photoshop, many women do not love themselves. If you asked the average woman what her favorite feature is about herself, they cant answer you.
I used to be exactly like that. I would compare every inch of my body to everyone and everything around me. I was unhappy, and I was constantly disappointed in myself.
Slowly, with the help of my dog, friends and this blog, everything changed. I no longer saw myself as flaws; I saw myself as me.
Loving yourself doesn’t stop with confidence, however. It is also about taking a breather and treating yourself after all your hard work.
I know February is usually all about relationships, but I don’t really think you are capable in having a healthy relationship with another person, if you don’t have a healthy relationship with yourself.
I feel like as a gender, we should quit putting these unrealistic high expectations on each other and ourselves.
So let this February be about you, and let’s celebrate all of your flaws, your accomplishments and your gosh darn good looks!
