When I moved into my first ‘big girl’ apartment, I really wanted to have a magazine worthy bed. I looked all over the internet for inspiration, and I love what I came up with. This is how to make a bed like a designer!
It all starts with sheets! I have plain white sheets that I bought at TJ Maxx. I love finding sheets at TJ Maxx because they have a good thread count, but they are on the cheaper end of good sheets. Put the sheets on the normal way, but when you put the regular sheet on (not the fitted sheet), only tuck in at the foot of the bed.
Next, I have a quilt that I put on the bed. I chose this print and color because it was very soothing (I included it on the bottom of the post if you want to check it out). I folded the quilt back and then folded the top white sheet over it.
Then it is tucking time! I start by tucking the end of the bed using hospital corners. I tuck both the top sheet and the quilt on all sides and make sure it is tight and snug!
Next, I go ahead and add pillows! I put the pillows I sleep on behind the euro pillows. If you have a queen bed, you will needs two euro pillows and king sized beds need three. I included some pretty euro pillows I found online at the bottom of the post, but I have the best luck finding them at TJ Maxx.
Also, if you look closely, the three euro shams have different white quilt patterns. I kinda like how it looks different, plus I got each pillow for only $20!
Then I throw on the pillow shams that go with the quilt!
After that, I add a comforter. I love this layered style! I f you aren’t a fan of it, dont sweat it and you can stop at the above photo. I got this comforter from WayFair! I wanted to get white, but it wasn’t practical because Schmidt sheds so much. I will probably upgrade in the future because although I love the comforter, the material picks up dog hair like crazy! However, if you dont have a dog that sheds to the point you have to vacuum twice a day, it’s great! (also included a link in the bottom of the post)
I am not happy with my throw pillows yet, but these came with the comforter set. I haven’t found the perfect ones, so these will do until that happens!

These colours go so well together! I love blues and greys. Also love the layering look on beds, makes them look so much more inviting!xo
