Every blogger wants to have the perfect Instagram theme! Some people achieve this by using a color, like only using turquoise items in ever photos. Some people like to use a texture, like marble or copper. I love the aesthetic of those, however, they can get kind of boring.
I am a beauty and lifestyle blogger, so I have more subject matter than most. But, I don’t want to sacrifice my theme or aesthetic. I achieve a great theme by only using three filters. I use the app VSCO to take and edit all of my Instagram photos.
I don’t use my DSLR for most of my Instagram photos because I feel like it loses Instagram authenticity. Let me know your opinion on this, but I just like to use my iPhone. Every once in a while I will throw a DSLR photo if it’s from my blog.
I use the filters F2, F3 and S3 on the VSCO app.
Another great way to keep a theme is use a tint. Blue tints are very common on Instagram, you can do this within the app or VSCO!
This is probably one of the easiest ways to create a theme because you can do whatever filter or edits you like, and then just throw a tint on it, and theme achieved!
Also, it is important to keep the quality of the photos the same. Try to use natural light always, and if you cant achieve the right quality, don’t use it.
Also, never be afraid to delete photos. I delete photos all the time when I see in hindsight that they do not match my desired theme.
I also try to mix up the photos. Don’t stack too many selfies in a row, and the same goes for food photos. Try to keep the mix varied. I love drink photos, and I have to actively space those out to prevent an issues!
This is just my personal opinion, but I try to avoid using collage photos. I don’t like how it looks when you look at the Instagram page as a whole.
These are my tips to maintain a awesome Instagram theme!

I love using VSCO! It’s seriously the best and I love that it gives you an idea of what your feed will look like before you add any new pictures to your IG account!
