Ladies, I know everyone goes through the “learning how to do my brows like the diva I am” stage! We start out with the dollar bin eyebrow kit, grow to some type of pencil, and then when we think we are pros, we try a pomade!

I am a huge fan of the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade! I will be the first to admit it dramatically changed my brow game. I have a very sparse area where my brows begin, and this pomade covers that problem area up.
Here is how I keep my brows on point:
- Make sure your eyebrows are shaped. Pluck all of those stray hairs that can even make the best done brows look unkept.
- Using a spooly brush, brush out your brows. This is important because it will help you see the flow of your natural brow hairs.
- With an angled brush (make sure you have wiped off excess pomade), create a line defining underneath your brow.
- Again with the angled brush, create natural looking strokes starting at your arch to the far end of your brow. Start with the first because this will be the darker part of the brow. Use a light hand to prevent the blocked brow look. My favorite technique is to press down lightly and flick up to create a natural hair look.
- Now with the beginning of your brows – the biggest mistake you can make is to apply the pomade here with a heavy hand. Lightly fill in your brows, but remember this will be slightly lighter than the far end of your brows. You want an ombre effect from light fill to dark fill.
- Now blend the brows with the spooly brush.
- If you have hairs that don’t stay in place, this is when you can add a brow gel. Make sure you wipe of the excess gel from the brush before you apply it to your brow. If too much gel gets on the brow, it will smudge your hard work.
- To really make the brow pop, use a highlighting concealer along the edges of the brow.
This is how I create my every day eyebrow! I know it looks like a lot of steps, but once you get down, you can get it done in 3 to 5 minutes!
What are your crazy eyebrow stories?
