It’s finally summer – and that means it’s time for people to take off on the open road!
I am going to be honest, I absolutely hate driving, but road trips are so much cheaper than flying! Here are my road trip essentials to keep you sane:
Energems: Energems are little bite-sized energy morsels that are an necessity for driving long stretches!
They come in two flavors (the ones made with real dark chocolate are my fav!), and they are perfect for energy on the go!
Dont get me wrong, I love my coffee! But Starbucks can be expensive if you are already paying for a hotel, gas and fun quirky destination restaurants! These perfect-sized doses keep you going the whole trip, even when you only had three hours of sleep!
My favorite thing about these are they are made with vitamin B and D, and you can eat up to three to fit the energy level you need!
These are just good overall to keep in your purse for when you are trying your best to not fall asleep at work – and yes, they taste great!
Check out how to get your bottle of Energems rebated, here!
You can find them at Walmart near the vitamins and energy supplements!
Blanket: I always get cold on road trips, so a easily portable blanket is a must – especially if you are driving with someone who gets hot easily!
Regular wipes and Makeup wipes: Wipes are always an essential for every road trip! Regular wipes for spills, and makeup wipes for when you drive through the night and feel your skin getting gross! I hate it when I am driving for long stretches, and my face doesn’t feel clean.
Kleenex: Always bring tissue in case you have the sneezes – or spills!
Mask: I know this sounds princessy, but if you are just driving for an extended period of time, why not treat your skin with a sheet mask?
Snack: This is a duh – but it’s so much cheaper to get snacks at a grocery store before your trip than it is to buy them at a gas station!
Coconut Water: Dehydration is a big issue on road trips, and with extra hydrating coconut water, it is no longer a problem! PLUS, Victoria Secret models drink coconut water to keep their skin glowy!
Water bottle: I always like to bring my own water bottle! Staying hydrated also helps keep you focused!
Sunglasses: Summer isn’t summer without a new pair of shades!
Toothbrush and Mouthwash: Okay, so if you are going on long stretches without staying at an hotel, here is a trick: swish some mouth wash in your mouth and get a travel toothbrush and scrub it into your teeth! This way you dont have to carry toothpaste, and you can freshen your breath and scrub your teeth at once!
Antibacterical Spray: I hate having smelly sweaty hands, so I use antibacterial spray all the time! This is just good to have on hand at all times!
Book: I know some people can’t read while driving, so maybe you should bring a sudoku workbook, but I love using travel as an excuse to start reading again!
Asprin/Ibuprofen: I have the worst headaches, so don’t forget to bring some pain relief because even if you dont want a headache, doesnt mean you wont get one!
What is your must have for a road trip?

You it on all my road trip must haves and then some! I never thought about the face mask! But great ideas! And I’m always low on energy after hours in the car. Energems are perfect to get the energy back up so you can have fun at the end of the long drive. -client
