Winter always brings me the worst out of my skin. I have to sparingly use matte lipsticks, and sometimes I wake myself up from scratching my dry spots on my skin.
I have to really focus on skincare the minute it starts to get chilly outside (which in Texas, means November). My winter skincare routine is a lot more beefed-up than my summer one.
Here are my must-haves for the season to keep my beauty routine on point:
Lip Balm and Scrub
I have a lip balm in ever corner of my life. They are in my desk at work, every corner of my purse and in every drawer in my home.
I also love to keep a lip scrub nearby. The lip scrubs that are in the shape of a lipstick are so convenient, and you can take them where-ever you may go. Plus, they feel a lot more sanitary to apply.
AND – you can make your own using beeswax, coconut oil and your favorite essential oil!
Amope® Pedi Perfect™ Extra Coarse Electronic Foot File and Electronic Nail File
My feet suffer the most during the cold, dry winter months – specifically my toes. Bootie feet are a real problem!
I tried everything, but my feet always peeled and looked rough all season-long. My toes were always surrounded by dead skin.
I started using the Amope® Pedi Perfect™ Extra Coarse Electronic Foot File to keep my feet soft and smooth. I love being able to look down at my feet and not seeing the gross peeling on my heels!
The Amope® Pedi Perfect™ Electronic Nail File is great for your toes too!
This is embarrassing – but I have very thick toes. The Amope® Pedi Perfect™ Electronic Nail File helps cut the the time shaping my nails. It also has three different parts that allow for buffing and smoothing down the nail.

And you can get it at my personal favorite, Target!
Cuticle Oil
The secret to well-maintained nails is to rub cuticle oil into your cuticle before bed every night!
My bedtime routine includes a glass of water, lavender-scented lotion and cuticle oil! It takes a second, and your nail-beds are always soft!
Lots of Water
Water is so crucial to keep your skin moisturized! I will say it 100 times, but water is the key to have happy, glowing skin!
Coconut Oil
When it doubt, use coconut oil, or at least that’s what Pinterest has taught me. I use coconut oil to remove my eye makeup, moisturize my legs and as a hair mask!
I even feed my dogs a teaspoon everyday to keep their long coats smooth!
How do you maintain your skin during the winter months?

Thanks for reviewing Amope! I looked at those because I tend to have dry feel too. But I didn’t know if they actually worked or if they were a waste of money.

I couldn’t agree more about drinking water! I’ve been dying to try Amope products, in fact, my husband wants one, too! I told him I wouldn’t share so we’d def have to buy two. haha #client

Lip Balm and scrub are so important to have and I have one of the Amope items and I tell you it really works. I know they might be a little pricy, but I got one for $15.
