Out of all my Blogmas recipes, this one is the easiest – and quite honestly, my favorite to eat. Spicy oyster crackers are great to take on the go – but warning, they pack some heat.
When you are creating this recipe, adjust the red pepper flakes to match your spice level. I eat jalapenos for snacks, so mine is much higher, and I add a little ground red pepper for an extra kick.
If you want to make the recipe milder, add more ranch mix and less red pepper flakes. The great thing about this recipe is that it is so easy to adjust.
You can also make this recipe with regular saltines, but I just love the look of oyster crackers – and they are bite-sized. Happy Blogmas Day 20 Gang!
Ingredients
1 bag of oyster crackers
1/2 cup canola oil
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp dried red pepper flakes
Instructions
1. Place crackers in a container with a lid or a bag – but it very important that the container has a lid so you can shake it up later!
2. Mix oil and seasonings in a separate bowl
3. Pour seasoning mixture over crackers and mix by shaking the bag or the container
4. Shake and stir until oil is no longer settling on the bottom, and the crackers are evenly coated.
5. Let the crackers dry and then move them into a container! Enjoy – you will be wanting more before the week is up!
