Something I wanted to start doing more on the blog is incorporating where I live – Waco, TX.
Waco was recently listed as one of the top travel destinations (I was shocked too), so I figured if my audience is coming here – I can give a little bit of advice!
For starters, Waco has a fun little bar scene, and we great drink specials! I have lived a few places, and Waco has shocked me on how cheap I can get a beer ($2 on Thursdays at Trojans Cork & Keg).
If you are a local, this list of drinks specials is definitely helpful because then you can get the most bang for your buck!
Trojan Cork & Keg
Trojan’s is located underneath Spice Village, another great place to go if you are visiting Waco.
The bartenders are pretty cool, and the most popular thing to get here is the fishbowl. However, my favorite thing is there $2 Stella Artois on a Thursday!
Wednesday- 1/2 price whiskey
Thursday- $2 bottles, $2.50 wells, $3 drafts
Friday- Fishbowl Friday $11
Saturday- Shots: $2 infused, $3 Fireball, $4 Jager, $5 bombs
Cricket’s Grill & Drafthouse
Cricket’s was the first bar I ever went to in Waco, and it quickly became my favorite. They have a great trivia at 7 p.m. on Wednesday nights, and they also started doing brunch!
They have tons of games and tons of beer choices!
Happy Hour: 4-7 p.m. $.50 cent off Domestic, $1 off Import
Monday: $4 Select Drafts, $4 Any Cocktail, $3 Domestic Bottles, $2.75 Candy Shop Shots

Barnett’s Public House
Barnett’s is another favorite of mine because they are always doing fun things! Follow their Facebook page for events!
They are always having special dinners and drinks for holidays like St. Patrick’s Day, Mardi Gras, etc.
Happy Hour: Monday – Friday from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. $3 domestics; Lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with $1 pints and $2 steins
Tuesday – Hungry Man’s Dinner (3 courses, 3 beers for $25, 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.)
Wednesday- 1/2 price bottles of wine under $100
Saturday and Sunday: $10 mimosa pitcher
Klassy Glass
My best friend and I have our girl time at this wine bar! It is a great place to hang out with friends, and the food is pretty good too!

Wednesday- Happy Hour all day, $1 off glass of wine and beer, $4 off bottles of wine
TrueLove
TrueLove is great for Karaokers, pool players and people who love a chill night out.
