If you’re anything like me, you might be getting excited about bikini season, but also feeling a little bit nervous about baring it all. But here’s the thing: any body can be a bikini body! It’s all about feeling confident and comfortable in your own skin. That said, if you want to feel your absolute best in a bikini, I’ve got some tips and exercises that might help.
First things first: I’m a firm believer that there’s no one “right” way to get ready for bikini season. It’s all about finding what works for your body and your lifestyle. That being said, here are some exercises and workouts that I find really help me feel strong, toned, and confident in a bikini:
- Squats: Squats are one of my all-time favorite exercises for toning my legs and glutes. They’re simple to do, but super effective. I usually do three sets of 10 to 12 reps, using weights if I want to make the exercise more challenging.
- Lunges: Lunges are another great exercise for targeting your legs and glutes. I like to do walking lunges, where I take a step forward with one foot, bend both knees to lower my body, and then bring my back foot forward to take another step. I do three sets of 10 to 12 reps on each leg.
- Planks: Planks are a fantastic exercise for working your core, which is important for feeling confident and stable in a bikini. I usually start with a basic plank, holding it for 30 seconds to a minute, and then work my way up to longer times or more challenging variations.
- Cardio: Of course, cardio is an important part of any workout routine, especially if you’re looking to slim down a bit for bikini season. I like to mix it up with running, biking, or taking a dance class.
Remember, the most important thing is to listen to your body and do what feels good and right for you. Don’t push yourself too hard, and don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Your body is beautiful and unique, and you deserve to feel amazing in a bikini no matter what size or shape you are.
