I graduated from college three years ago, and I am slowly building my home. I bought a house last year – so home decor became a priority for me.
When it came to furniture, I bought my first couch through Home Zone. It was a great experience, but I wanted to get a more unique piece for my second couch.
My home decor journey started with a more farmhouse glam feel and is now transitioning into a mid-century mod/Scandinavian. Very different styles, but my tastes have just evolved over time.
I really wanted a colorful couch with striking details. I couldn’t really find anything I wanted at a decent price at local furniture stores, so I started browsing Wayfair.
Wayfair is one of my favorite home decor sites. My headboard is from Wayfair, and my TV stand is also from Wayfair.
Those items seemed safe for me to buy online, but buying a couch online made me a little nervous.
However, I found this amazing Navy couch for around $300!
I really wanted this couch, but I was so nervous it would appear at my door in a million parts, and then the couch would be tiny.
Basically, I had a lot of concerns with the Willa Arlo Interiors sofa. I eased my concerns by reading about 100 reviews and looking at photos of the couch in other people’s home.
To be honest, I would have never had the guts to buy this couch without the reviews. This experience has really encouraged me to write my own reviews to help out other consumers!
There were a few couches I looked at before this one with zero reviews, and that was the sole reason I didn’t consider them.
Also, Wayfair has a question and answer segment that was very helpful. I found out that the couch was easy to assemble, and the color was great! I also learned that the couch is also a futon – so more space for my family when they visit.
So after I took the plunge and bought the couch, I waited about a week for it to arrive. Wayfair has free shipping, so that was a plus.
When this large box arrived at my home, I was full of anxiety and excitement. The box was lightweight considering it was a couch.
Plus, it was so easy to put together!
The finished product was amazing. The couch is a little firm, but I personally like that.
Also, Schmidt made an appearance in the photos. I still really hate my carpet (a project in the future), but I love my couch!
What is the scariest thing you have bought online?
