When I moved to Waco, everyone kept telling me about purple margaritas. I had no idea what this meant, and I honestly thought it sounded gross.
Personally, I hate grape-flavored things.
However, once I finally got around to having a purple margarita at La Fiesta, I understood the hype. Not only is this thing strong, it is tasty!
I am also someone who only drinks margaritas on the rocks, but I will only drink a purple frozen.
For those of you who are traveling to Waco for Chip and Joanna or are a new Baylor student, here is the 5 best places in Waco to get a margarita.
La Fiesta
The home of the Purple Margarita is a must-stop if you are in Waco for a short time. My dad is the biggest fan of this place, and I got him a purple margarita shirt for his birthday.
They have a great happy hour from 3-6:30 on weekdays if you want a regular margarita -$3!

The Ranchito #5
The Ranchito #5 was the first restaurant that I ever went to after moving. It is a classic, despite the bullet holes in the windows.
They have food and drink specials daily – and they have every type of margarita you can think of!
