Summer is ending, and as much as I love fall, I have to give summer the goodbye it deserves. All season-long, I had wanted to go on a picnic. Unfortunately, it was always too hot to do anything.
These last few weeks of summer have been cool and perfect – so it was time to finish my summer bucket list!
This is the perfect time of the year to grab your picnic basket, a couple bottles of JaM Cellars wine and your favorite on-the-go foods.
My sister and I decided to go to the park near our house and drink wine overlooking the creek. We have had a lot of rain this past month, so it was great to see actual water in the creek.
It is so energizing to get out in the breeze and relax. We just poured some Butter and gabbed about our plans for the fall (which there is a lot). If you are looking for the perfect evening, a couple of bottles of JaM Cellars wine and a good view takes the cake.
The dogs had a great time too!
We brought potato salad and some sandwiches and salad to go with our JaM Cabernet and Butter. Pro-tip: make your picnic super easy by buying premade goodies at your favorite grocery store.
Plus, our picnic items are made of melamine – so they don’t contribute to waste, and they are super cute.
The evening was literally screamed to be posted on Instagram.
BUTTER AND JaM
I love JaM – you can easily taste the notes of blackberries, black plums and black currant (my favorite). I love how it combines all of those fruity flavors with oak and vanilla to create a smooth finish.
If you are more of a white wine drinker, Butter is as smooth as it sounds. Butter brims with stone fruit and baked-lemon notes and has a lovely, long, vanilla finish. Simply put, it melts in your mouth!
Butter is seriously the smoothest Chardonnay I have ever had in my life. I have already bought two more bottles since this picnic.
Both wines are perfect for any evening, and the label is cute enough to get crafty with (maybe a future blog post).
This park in Waco is perfect for a picnic because it doesn’t get a lot of visitors, but it has great views.
How do you enjoy a great glass of wine?
