I have been loving bohemian trends, and fiber art is one of my current favorites. Adding texture to your walls brings a lot of depth and interest to your decor.
I have done everything from hanging placemats to baskets to wooden cutting boards. I love seeing a mix of materials hanging on the wall – it adds so much warmth.
When I was planning my fall decor, I really wanted to have a special piece of fiber art for the season. I had never attempted to make fiber art before, so I wanted to start off easy and simple.
This project was extremely easy to make. I even used a stick from my own yard for the base. All the other items are from Hobby Lobby.
YOU WILL NEED
Yarn (whatever colors you want)
Small Pumpkins
Stick
I started by tying pieces of white yarn to the stick. Plus, I had one sample yarn to make sure all of the yarn was the same size.
I alternated colors, added braids and tied the pumpkins and acorns on with a burlap string.
In order to make sure I liked the overall look, I would hand up the project after I got done with a color and evaluate. This helps you get the right flow and figure out how much of a certain color you want.
This best part about this project is it can be anything you want, and it looks super creative. You can use whatever colors and textures, and it is uniquely you!
This project took about 3 hours to make (long enough to sadly watch the Vikings lose to the Rams).
