Guess what guys – I made another DIY pumpkin. I know, shocker. This time I made pumpkin garland for my mantel!
This pumpkin is probably the easiest I have made yet – even your four-year-old can do it. You just need scissors, orange yarn, green pipe cleaners and some string.
These can go in a clear vase, be hung around a door, or hung on a fireplace mantel. I put mine on the fireplace mantel and wrapped some twinkle lights around them. I think they are adorable, and if you don’t want to put them on a string, that’s fine too!
Let’s get to pumpkin garland making!
YOU WILL NEED
Orange yarn
Green pipe cleaners
String
Scissors
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut a string for the garland – measure it to make sure it will fit wherever you are decorating
Wrap the yarn around your hand about 100 times (more if you want a bigger pumpkin, less if you want a small one)
Cut another piece of yarn. Pull it through your fingers and wrap it around the whole loop. Tie to secure.
Fluff up the pumpkin to make it look really pumpkin-y
Using the loose yarn pieces, tie a piece of pipe cleaner to the pumpkin as a stem
Then, using the loose yarn pieces, tie the sting to the pumpkin, creating the garland
Cut off any loose pieces and keep making pumpkins til your garland is done!
CUTE!
