If you know anything about coming home for the holidays, you know you are looking for something to drink. For me, I am a fan of sangria.
I know stereotypically, mothers drink wine, but my mom barely drinks even drinks white wine, so this year, I am making her a festive holiday white wine sangria. I want it to have all the flavors you love about the winter with a nice boozy touch.
For this recipe, I am using sage, orange, cranberry and some pears.
My grandparents have a pear tree in the ditch outside their house, and I used to love going out there and picking a fresh pear. Those were always the freshest pears of the season. I could eat bowlfuls for days.
Side note: Have you actually ever eaten a whole cranberry? I did it once. Not great. I don’t even know if you are actually supposed to do that. I regretted it immediately.
If you have ever made sangria before, it is as simple as cutting up some fruit and letting it sit for a while.
