So – there has been a point in most of our lives where we need extra money. Whether it is to pay bills, get out of debt, or to save up something, we have to find a way to get that extra cash. For me, blogging has always given me some padding between paychecks. But, there are quite a few ways to make extra money on the side – also known as a side hustle.
UBER/LYFT
If you live in an area where you can Uber or Lyft, try being a driver. While I have never actually done it, I have asked pretty much every driver I have ever had, and they say they make a decent sum.
And if you live in a large city, some people even make a living out of it. You can choose your own hours, and you just need to make sure your car meets their specifications.
DELIVER FOOD/GROCERIES
Along with driving people, you can deliver food and groceries. There are a ton of ways to do this – Doordash, Waitr, Favor, Instacart, Shipt – just see what is in your area.
These usually require you to sign up for an actual shift, so you have a little less flexibility with your hours. But, the shifts are typically short – and some of the companies guarantee pay. Just be sure to do your research before picking one of these.
START A BLOG
Or, you can start a blog! But, unless you have a product or niche ready to go – you usually don’t make money right off the back.
I didn’t start making money until after a year of blogging. But, if you have really amazing resources, you might want to try it out!
FREELANCE WRITING
There are a ton of freelance writing jobs on the internet, so if you are able to snag a few, you can make a few bucks.
VOICEOVER WORK
Do you have a great voice? I sure don’t. But I know people who do!
You can sign up to a be a voice actor on Voice123 or VoiceBunny and get paid to voiceover stuff. I work for a television station – so you this is a product that is needed a lot more than you think!
