The last time I went to my parents house, I found a lot of old photos that I love. I brought them home with me in hopes of figuring out a way to display them all.
Ever since I was in college, I keep all of my keepsakes in a trunk. I have tickets, cards, etc. from all of my adventures. Although the trunk is great, there are pieces in there that I would like to have displayed.
So when I brought home my photos, I wanted to combine them with my trunk items in some type of display.
I also knew I wanted to display them on my wall.
In my living room, I already have a giant gallery wall, so I wanted to think outside of the typical photo frame ideas. During a Dirt Cheap shopping trip, I found a giant poster frame, and I got the idea – a framed collage.
In addition to the poster frame, I bought a piece of fabric and some pins to put the collage together. The back of the frame is cardboard, so I just wrapped it in fabric and used the pins to attach the photos.
If you have a different type of backing for your frame, try finding a foam board to use.
I love how it turned out, and I can keep all of my favorite things out where I can see them!
How do you store/display your keepsakes?
