I am sure I am not the only one getting back into going to the gym this new year. For full disclosure, I rolled my ankle really bad and wasn’t able to go to the gym for a few months, but now I am back.
And I have also been so busy. My schedule has been, quite frankly, unpredictable, so I have been eating from the vending machine more often than I would like to admit.
So I am joining the world in this cleanse and New Year Resolution business. I am eating a very strict diet plan, and I am going to see where I am at in three months (stay tuned for a future post).
But one of the biggest changes is bringing myself back to the gym after two months. After the first two days, I was so sore. I could barely even stand up. But, I kept going.
Part of what kept me going was my new workout gear. I am sure I am not the first one to offer this advice (hell, I have been saying the same advice on my blog for years), but buying new workout gear really adds motivation.
I am trying to really buy higher quality workout gear to make my overall experience better, so here are some things I am eyeing:

I am honestly not confident enough to wear shorts at the gym yet – but I am working on it!
